Question and Answer pairs

What are Question-Answer pairs?

Question and Answer pairs, or Interactions, are recorded Utterances and Responses in the lexicon. They can be saved in the lexicon by way of manual input or through Dynamic Training.


How to find a QA pair

QA pairs are can viewed on Pez.AI Dashboard’s Authoring > Train tab. It can be accessed through these steps:

  1. On Dashboard, click Authoring
  2. On Authoring, click the TRAIN tab

All QA pairs are listed in this tab. To check the answer for a specific question, click the utterance that you want to view.


Adding a Question-Answer pair manually

  1. On dashboard, click Authoring > Train > QUESTION AND ANSWERS.
  2. On the lower part, click + Add utterance.
  3. A text box will activate, input your question.
  4. Press Add or Enter on the keyboard.
  5. Once saved, click the question, another modal will appear.
  6. Under RESPONSES, input your desired answer to the question.
  7. Once done, close the modal and press TRAIN BOT or SAVE AND CONTINUE
  8. On the PREVIEW AND PUBLISH tab, you can try your added Question and Answer pair on the sandbox to check if the bot responds correctly, or click Publish Bot to add it to your live bot.


Adding additional utterances to a QA Pair
  1. On dashboard, click Authoring > Train > QUESTION AND ANSWERS.
  2. Click the question that you want to edit, another modal will appear.
  3. Under RESPONSES, input your desired answers or question variations to the QA pair.
  4. Once done, close the modal and press TRAIN BOT or SAVE AND CONTINUE
  5. On the PREVIEW AND PUBLISH tab, you can try your added utterances on the sandbox to check if the bot responds correctly, or click Publish Bot to add it to your live bot.


Adding or changing answers to a question
  1. On dashboard, click Authoring > Train > QUESTION AND ANSWERS.
  2. Click the question that you want to edit, another modal will appear.
  3. Under RESPONSES, input your desired answers to the question.
  4. (Optional) Press x on the right side of the answer to delete the entry.
  5. Once done, close the modal and press TRAIN BOT or SAVE AND CONTINUE
  6. On the PREVIEW AND PUBLISH tab, you can try your added answers on the sandbox to check if the bot responds correctly, or click Publish Bot to add it to your live bot.
